Like in every rally strike of drivers for fare hike and gasoline price rollback, jeeps, buses, and some other vehicles seems to pull over; with some establishments which appears like almost deserted. And it’s like a unity for peace when crime rates, accidents and other incident reports decrease. The world seems to stop and these are the usual scenario in the country, just to witness every fight of Many “Pacman” Pacquiao in the boxing arena.
The most awaited event, “The Battle of the East and West” was witnessed not only by the entire nation but by the whole world and again Pacman made another history. Pacman vs. Hitman, the question of who will prevail ends today. The judgment has come to its place and East won over the West in the boxing field. Not only the Ring Magazine Title was at stake but most of all the coveted prize of all, the mythical label of boxing’s best pound-for-pound. And now Pacman got them both.
Though it was a delayed telecast, I still tried to watch it on national television on Pacman’s hosted network. It was an awesome fight. In fact the coolest of all the fight scenes I have seen among Manny’s fight. Win by knock out in two rounds, it has covered me with goose bumps and it gave me a different kind of chill and excitement. My heart rate increases upon watching the two boxers trading punches to each other and I almost jump from where I was seated every time Pacman hit Hitman down. It was indeed a breath taking and nerve-wracking experience, though, in a very short span of time.
Indeed, the legendary undefeated boxing icon deserves to have the title “Pambansang Kamao” as he always brings honor and pride in the country. Pacman fights not for himself, he fights for the Filipinos. Because of him, once again, the Philippines is recognized worldwide in producing quality fighter in the sports arena. He is the best boxing fighter who has ever lived, the”brown superman” and the greatest fighter of all times as described by many boxing analyst and his followers. No wonder why he is now consider as one of the most influential people in the world today.
The fact is, his long hard works and trainings, self-discipline, his determination to win along with his down to earth personality and strong Christian faith and values brings him up to this top and these are the keys to his overflowing success. And what is good about him is that…he never think too much of the titles he gained and heard…He never talked about it to much and I can describe him as more of a man of action rather than words and that set him apart among the many other boxing fighters…so I really salute Pacman for that together with his greatest achievements.
